Our chickens live in what we call "chicken tractors". When the young birds reach the age of 4 weeks, they can control their own body heat. They are then transferred from a climate-controlled environment to the outdoors. Outside in a portable chicken tractor, they scratch their way across the pastures, dining on grass, grubs and insects. Since chickens cannot get all the energy and nutrition from pasture alone, we supplement their diet with a GMO-free grain mix.
